Univar Named Exclusive Distributor of Viscon USA’s Fuel Technology in Europe

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands – November 27, 2012 – Univar Inc., a leading global chemical distributor, announced today it has entered into an exclusive agreement to distribute Viscon USA’s fuel technology, Viscon™, in Europe. This product is a strong addition to Univar’s European Oil & Gas division, which has been supplying products to fuel-intensive industries across the region for several years.

Viscon™ is a fuel additive that enhances the rheological properties of fuel, resulting in improved combustion and a reduction in the release of particulate matter as well as nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide emissions. It can be used with all grades of gasoline, diesel, and heavy fuels, is able to improve air quality and fuel efficiency, and has approval from both CARB (California Air Resources Board) and TCEQ (Texas Commission for Environmental Control). The technology offers particular benefits to fuel-intensive industries such as the marine sector, public transportation, forestry, construction, and mining.
