Univar Names Human Resources Executive in Europe 12/03/2008
Bellevue, Wash. – Dec. 3, 2008 – Univar, a world leader in chemical distribution, today announced that it has appointed Detlef Prangenberg as Human Resource Director – Europe, effective March 1, 2009.
Prangenberg has a strong and diverse leadership background with responsibility for HR teams spread across 27 countries. Most recently, he was the HR director with DSM Composite Resins in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Prior to joining DSM, he spent six years with General Electric Healthcare in HR and business leadership positions. Additionally, he served 12 years with the German Armed Forces as an officer dealing with HR issues affecting people from multiple cultures and backgrounds.
In his role with Univar, Prangenberg will be responsible for human resource talent management and development throughout Europe.
He will report to John Van Osch, group senior vice president – Univar Europe.
