Our customer was primarily a skin care and nutritional company, one that also offered a hair care line. Their shampoo and conditioner had been developed a decade ago, and they were now lagging behind newer products in marketability and in sales. The line needed a tune-up to compete with the more technologically-advanced products with which they competed for retailer shelf space.
A Univar personal care specialist suggested the company work in partnership with Univar’s technical team and manufacturer Dow Corning. By incorporating Dow Corning’s cutting-edge silicones into their hair products, they developed a new line that was more responsive to their customers’ needs and consumer trends.
With help from the Dow Corning labs and Univar’s technical team, the company was able to create hair care products that employ the newest methods and ingredients.
