
John J. Zillmer
Executive Chairman
Mr. Zillmer joined Univar in October 2009 and has served as our Executive Chairman since May 2012. From October 2009 to May 2012, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. He has also been a director since October 2009. From 2005 to December 2008, Mr. Zillmer served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Allied Waste Industries, a solid waste management business, which merged with Republic Services, Inc. in December 2008. From 1986 to 2004, Mr. Zillmer served as Executive Vice President of ARAMARK Corporation, a provider of food, uniform and support services. During his 18-year career with ARAMARK, Mr. Zillmer served as President of ARAMARK’s Business Services division, the International division and the Food and Support Services group. Prior to joining ARAMARK, Mr. Zillmer was employed by Szabo Food Services until Szabo was acquired by ARAMARK in 1986. Mr. Zillmer is a director of Ecolab Inc. and Reynolds American, Inc. Mr. Zillmer previously served on the boards of Allied Waste Industries, Inc., Casella Waste Systems, Inc., Pathmark Stores Inc. and United Stationers Inc. Mr. Zillmer earned an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

J. Erik Fyrwald
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Fyrwald joined Univar in May 2012 and has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and a director. From December 2011 to May 2012, Mr. Fyrwald was President of Ecolab Inc., a cleaning and sanitation products and services provider. From February 2008 to December 2011, Mr. Fyrwald was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nalco Holding Company, a supplier of water treatment and process improvement services, chemicals and equipment programs. From 2003 to 2008, Mr. Fyrwald served as Group Vice President of the Agriculture and Nutrition Division of E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, a supplier of basic materials and products and services. Mr. Fyrwald serves on the board of directors for Eli Lilly and Company and Amsted Industries. He holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of Delaware and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Randy D. Craddock
President of Univar Canada Ltd.
Mr. Craddock joined Univar in 1981 and has served as President of Univar Canada since January 2006. Prior to 2006, Mr. Craddock served in a number of capacities with Univar, including Regional Vice President—Western Canada, General Manager—Prairie Provinces, General Sales Manager—Southern Alberta, and Technical Sales Representative, first in Regina and then in Edmonton. Mr. Craddock graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Marketing, Transportation and Distribution Management.

Russell W. Day
SVP, Corporate Development
Russell Day joined Univar in February 2004 and has held various strategic planning, business development, and commercial roles overseeing Univar’s businesses in China and Australia. In 2009, Mr. Day was appointed Vice President, Corporate Development with responsibility for Univar’s global corporate development and merger and acquisition activities. Mr. Day earned Bachelor of Science degrees in finance and accounting, a J.D. from the University of Idaho and a LL.M. from the University of Washington.

Jack (John) R. Donovan
Executive Vice President, Chief Growth Officer
Mr. Donovan joined Univar in December 2011 and has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Growth Officer. From January 2010 to December 2011, Mr. Donovan was President of Omakase, LLC, a growth-strategy consulting firm that he founded. From 1988 to 2006, Mr. Donovan served in a number of roles including Senior Vice President and President, Business, Sports and Entertainment with ARAMARK Corporation, a foodservice, facilities and clothing provider. Prior to joining ARAMARK, Mr. Donovan served as Regional Sales Director with Morrison’s Management Services, a service management company. He earned his B.A. degree from Duke University and holds an MBA from the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama.

Edward A. Evans
Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer
Mr. Evans joined Univar in January 2010 and has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. From 2005 to 2009, Mr. Evans served as Executive Vice President and Chief Personnel Officer for Allied Waste Industries, Inc. and its successor company Republic Services Inc., solid waste management businesses. From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Evans served as the Founding Director for what is now the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship in Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. Mr. Evans spent 14 years with ARAMARK Corporation, a leading global managed services provider, and 16 years with Saga Foodservice, a foodservice company and its successor company, Marriott Corporation. Mr. Evans earned his B.S. degree and his MBA from Cornell University.

W. Terry Hill
Executive Vice President, Industry Relations and President, Emerging Markets
Mr. Hill joined Univar in 1985 and has served as Executive Vice President, Industry Relations and President, Emerging Markets since September 2010. From May 2007 to September 2010, Mr. Hill served as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Univar and from 2003 to 2007, he served as President of Univar USA. Prior to 2003, he held various sales and management positions including Senior Vice President—Field Operations, Regional Vice President and Sales Manager. Mr. Hill graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. degree in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and a board member of the Chemical Education Foundation.

David Jukes
President of Univar Europe
Mr. Jukes joined Univar in 2002 and has served as President of Univar EMEA since January 2011. From July 2009 to January 2011, Mr. Jukes served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing EMEA and from April 2004 to June 2009 as Regional Director of Univar UK, Ireland, the Nordics and Distrupol. Prior to joining Univar, Mr. Jukes was Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Marketing and Industry Relations for Omnexus, a plastics industry consortium e-commerce platform. Mr. Jukes is a graduate of the London Business School.

Steven M. Nielsen
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Nielsen joined Univar in April 2008 as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. From November 2007 to March 2008, Mr. Nielsen served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Corporate Initiatives at Sprint Nextel, a telecommunications and technology company. From May 2007 to November 2007, Mr. Nielsen was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Service Officer of Sprint Nextel. From August 2006 to May 2007, he served as Senior Vice President for finance operations for Sprint and each of its business units. He served as Chief Transition Officer for Sprint in 2005 and 2006, responsible for the merger integration of Sprint and Nextel. From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Nielsen was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the wireless division of Sprint. Mr. Nielsen is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.A. degree in Accounting from Weber State University.

Christopher D. Stockwell
Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer
Christopher Stockwell joined Univar in January 2011 as Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer. From 2004 to 2011, Mr. Stockwell held various leadership roles in procurement at the HJ Heinz Corporation, including Chief Procurement Officer. As Chief Procurement Officer, he managed $6.5B of global purchases and was responsible for the global seed and agriculture business. He provided leadership by developing people, creating world class processes, and executing global product strategies. Prior to HJ Heinz, Mr. Stockwell served in a number of supply chain and management roles at General Electric. Mr. Stockwell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.

Mr. Strizzi joined Univar in April 2009 and has served as President of Univar USA. From April 2006 to August 2008, Mr. Strizzi served as Senior Vice President of the Healthcare Supply Chain Solutions business for Cardinal Health, a healthcare services company. From January 2004 to April 2006, Mr. Strizzi served as Executive Vice President of the pharmaceutical distribution business with Cardinal. Prior to joining Cardinal, Mr. Strizzi held progressive leadership roles with the Pepsi Bottling Group, a bottler of Pepsi-Cola beverages, and Procter & Gamble, a manufacturer of consumer goods. Mr. Strizzi earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University.

Amy E. Weaver
Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary
Ms. Weaver joined Univar in December 2010 and has served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. From February 2009 to December 2010, Ms. Weaver served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Expedia, Inc. (“Expedia”), an internetbased travel website. From February 2008 to February 2009, Ms. Weaver served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel and from July 2005 to February 2008 as Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Expedia. Prior to Expedia, Ms. Weaver practiced law with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and Perkins Coie LLP. Ms. Weaver was also a Luce Scholar and served as the legislative assistant to the Honorable Margaret Ng of the Hong Kong Legislative Council. She was a law clerk to the Honorable Eugene A. Wright of the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Weaver received a B.A. degree from Wellesley College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Mark J. Byrne
Advisor to the CEO
Mark Byrne joined Univar in December 2010 as Chief Operating Officer and currently serves as Advisor to the CEO. Prior to Univar, Mr. Byrne served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Basic Chemical Solutions (BCS), a company he co-founded in 1995. Under Mr. Byrne’s leadership, BCS grew to become a company with global operations and nearly $900 million in 2009 sales revenue. Prior to BCS, Mr. Byrne began his career in 1980 at AlliedSignal (now Honeywell) where he held roles in several functional areas, culminating as President of AlliedSignal’s Fluorine Products Division. Mr. Byrne holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance and Masters in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
